Netafim^TM is pleased to invite you to the 1st International Drip Irrigation Sugarcane Conference in Brazil on May 4-10, 2011. Dozens of Netafim^TM customers and industry players from over 10 countries will attend the conference – the first global event of its kind. Bringing together major sugarcane growers and decision makers worldwide, the conference represents a milestone in Netafim´s™ ongoing commitment to the industry.

Integrating a visit to Agrishow 2011, one of the world´s most important exhibitions of agronomic equipment for sugarcane production, the six-day conference features an array of lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and field trips at venues across Brazil. Topics to be addressed during the gathering include irrigation and fertilization for high-yielding sugarcane, soil varieties and fertility, and the latest innovations and trends such as ethanol production, vinasse drip-system application, and environmentally-friendly fertilizers. Lectures will focus on both the agronomic and economic aspects of drip irrigation for sugarcane production.

Celebrating 25 years of providing commercialized drip irrigation solutions for sugarcane production, Netafim^TM understands the importance of keeping up with this continuously-expanding field and facilitating knowledge sharing across the industry. As such, the conference is open to a wide range of customers and industry players – from farm owners and growers to sugar-processing companies and agronomists.

Participants will visit Agrishow 2011 in Ribeirao Preto on the first day of the conference, followed the next day by field demonstrations of mechanical harvesting and planting equipment along with a visit to Netafim^TM Brazil´s production plant. The next three days of the conference will be held in northeastern Brazil, the second-largest sugarcane growing region in the country, where participants will attend diverse lectures and discussions presented by Netafim^TM experts and guest speakers. The last day of the conference features a visit to sugarcane farms implementing Netafim^TM drip irrigation systems.
