A Day in the Life

  • Leading the strategy and day-to-day sales in SSA (sub saharan Africa)
  • Manage, develop and mentor a team of remote salesforce
  • Travel minimum two weeks to SSA in order actively sell and support sales
  • Lead by example, work independently and lead people in a challenging territory
  • Develop sales reps and dealership across Africa together with peers at the GBU
  • Develop the business by establishing commercial relationships with value chain stakeholders
  • Initiate large scale and concrete projects with governments and corporates
  • Implementing Netafim Africa 3-year strategic plan
  • Ensuring optimized workflow and decision-making process, clarity, and effective teamwork
  • Effectively manage and maintain peer and business relationships with a high degree of integrity and trust – both internally and externally.

What you'll need

  • Significant passion to sales and results based orientation
  • More than 10 years of experience in the agriculture and irrigation sector.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in agriculture, engineering; Advantage – additional business oriented degree.
  • Proven experience in managing sales in emerging markets; Advantage – in Africa
  • Strategic thinking and concrete acting
  • Strong business-development
  • Advantage: technical experience in agriculture and / or irrigation
  • Market development - both of projects and dealers’ distribution network
  • Solid interpersonal skills; written, verbal and listening
  • Fluent in English (advantage for additional languages, mainly French)
  • Ambition, dynamism, flexibility and energy
